New Equipment For Chilliwack General Hospital
Chilliwack, BC – The Chilliwack Hospital Foundation has provided funding to replace an outdated Ultra Violet Phototherapy Booth that has been in use at Chilliwack General Hospital since 1990. Over 200 outpatients currently use this booth for treatment of disabling skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, pruritus and dermatitis. This service is very important to our community as there are no dermatologists in Chilliwack or Hope. Without access to this Booth, clients would have to drive to Abbotsford 2-3 times a week for medically prescribed treatment.
“Our local Foundation is extremely pleased to purchase a modern and reliable resource that will benefit best practice and ensure effective, safe and ongoing service in our community,” said John Jansen, President of the Chilliwack Hospital Foundation.
Official opening of the Ultra Violet Phototherapy Booth will take place on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chilliwack General Hospital.
